In this research, while introducing the major producers of EDC, accurate information regarding the global pattern of EDC supply and demand, the percentage of increase in capacity and consumption of EDC in the world, the trade balance of EDC in the world, the pattern of supply and demand of EDC in the Middle East and finally the supply And the demand for EDC in Iran compared to the whole world between 2000-2015 should be presented. The global production of ethylene dichloride reached 39 million tons in 2005. It is expected that the production capacity of EDC will increase with an approximate growth of 3% per year. The growth of EDC demand is also directly related to PVC demand. The largest increase in capacity will be in Asia and the Middle East. In general, the global vinyl trade enjoyed a good boom in 2004 and 2005. During these years, the operating speed of the units was higher than in the past. According to the forecasts, there was no significant increase in capacity in 2006 and 2007, so this industry will have profitable years ahead. With a very low sulfur percentage of less than 5PPM, it is intended for export to the countries of the world.
