According to the latest report of the World Steel Association in June (June 11 to July 10) of this year, Iran reached the seventh place in the world in the production of this strategic product with a 17.4% increase in steel production compared to the previous year.
According to the economic reporter of Tasnim news agency, the supply of energy to industries caused Iran to record the highest production growth among the top 10 steel producing countries in the world and 3.2 million tons of steel were produced in the period of June.

According to the latest report of the World Steel Association in June (June 11 to July 10) of this year, Iran reached the seventh position in the production of this strategic product in the world with a 17.4% increase in steel production compared to the previous year.

Also, according to the latest statistics published by the World Steel Association (WSA), the crude steel production of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the first five months of 2023 accounted for more than 70% of the total production in the West Asian region.

Iranian steelmakers produced 13 million tons of raw steel from January to May this year, which recorded a 2.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

In one of the hottest summers of the last few decades, in the shadow of the careful management of the electricity supply of the industries, we are witnessing the growth of steel production and the continuous and unchallenged activity of other industries, and peaking (load shifting) in the industry sector is fully planned and is being implemented in the form of announced programs, so that it has not had any effect on the decline in the activity of the country's production sectors.
