Antifoam types

There are different types of anti-foams, which include:

Alcoholic antifoam
Silicone anti-foam
Non-silicone anti-foam

ISD-400 alcohol defoamer is a strong antifoam that is chemically based on fatty acid and is actually a type of defoamer without cylon that has foam control properties and does not have any side effects.

Silicone anti-foam

Or basically, they are the same silicone antifoam based on silicone polymers. These are produced into oil or water based emulsions. The silicone compound consists of a hydrophobic silica dispersed in silicone oil. This silicone antifoam consists of dispersing a hydrophobic silica in silicone oil. In order to ensure the stability and dispersion of silicone, emulsifiers are added to this composition, these emulsifiers include silicone glycols and other silicone compounds.

Non-silicone anti-foam

Non-silicone antifoams have a silicone-free nature or base, that is, in its composition, all kinds of vegetable, mineral, vegetable oil, white oil, or any oily oil other than silicone oil can be found. Some of these antifoams have a chemical base of fatty acids, esters or fatty alcohols. This category of non-silicone antifoams is a combination of light mineral oil and non-ionic surfactants.
